Student Voice

St. Patrick’s is a happy school environment, where students thrive, in the knowledge that their voice is heard. The school has three active student councils (Junior School, Senior School and Upper School) composed of elected members. The councils aim:

  • to afford students the opportunity to play an active and positive part in their education and in the corporate life of the school;

  • to afford students the opportunity to play an active and positive part in their education and in the corporate life of the school;

  • to help create the atmosphere conducive to positive and productive interpersonal relationships, characteristic of the Lasallian school;

  • to encourage students to become confident, responsible, caring and independent individuals;

  • to foster in students a sense of loyalty to and pride in the school;

  • to improve communication at all levels, between staff, students and parents.

Students have the opportunity to attend leadership training courses which help them in carrying out the activities of the council and they are supported in their role by the Class Prefect.

The Student Leadership Team, consists of the Head Boy, Head Girl, their Deputies and elected Prefects from Year 14. This group meets regularly with senior staff to discuss issues pertaining to the student body.
