A first for Red High sport!

For the first time in the school’s history, the Red High has competed in an Ulster Colleges Ladies Gaelic Football 15 a side tournament. A great day was had by all in Cookstown - great craic, great spirit, great determination - everything we hoped for and more. After three games, the squad of 28 players qualified for an Ulster Final against St. Pat’s Dungiven. St. Pat’s were worthy winners on a score of 3:03 to 0:06 but we’re so proud of our girls after putting in a super performance - they’ve come a along way in a short time and we’re looking forward to what the new year will bring.

Thanks to former pupil Ronan McCarthy for organising the competition and well done to Megan McNabb, player of the final, who had a super game at full-back.
