Spa Road Closures - Update from Translink

Please see below amendments to the road closure information sent through on Wednesday 5th April 2017 following our meeting with Phoenix Gas this morning.

The road works and closure have now been moved back a week therefore not starting until Wednesday 19th April 2017.  This will now mean that all school buses will operate as normal next Monday 10th, Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th April 2017.

The road closure will now start from Monday 24th April 2017 and run for a period of approx. 6 wks.  Please see amended details below regarding shuttle bus times from Spa, Church.  

Please also note the removal of the 0806 departure from Spa Church. 

The only school shuttle buses operating are as detailed below…..

Depart Spa Church Arrive Ballynahinch School Pupils Should Use The Buses As Detailed Below-
0730 0740 Methody, Victoria, Wellington College and any other Belfast bound school
0753 0805 Assumption Grammar, Down High, St Patrick’s Grammar, De La Salle HS, St Mary’s HS, Ballynahinch High, Shimna College and St Colman’s HS
0830 0837 Normal Minibus operating via alternative route but still serving Spa to St Colman’s HS

Depart Ballynahinch Windmill St Arrive Spa Church School Pupils Should Use The Buses As Detailed Below-
1530 (Bus Station) 1535 Assumption Grammar, St Colman’s and Ballynahinch HS
1555 1600 Assumption Grammar, Down High, St Patrick’s Grammar, De La Salle HS, St Mary’s HS, Ballynahinch High and St Colman’s HS (Bus will await all connections)
1633 1640 Shimna College, Methody, Victoria, Wellington College and any other Belfast bound school

These arrangements may be subject to change but I will keep you all updated accordingly if they do.

'The Gooch' visits the Red High


St. Patrick’s Grammar was delighted to welcome Colm ‘The Gooch’ Cooper to our school on Tuesday 17th November, 2015, as part of his role as a Youth Ambassador with AIB/First Trust.

When Princeton University in New Jersey, USA offered early admission to 785 students in December, Conor Wilson, one of our Year 14 students was amongst them.

Year 14 trio to take on the Big Apple


Year 14 students, Conal Murnin (Head Boy), Luke Mulhall and Daithi Sands will be taking to the streets of New York City this November, to run the 2016 TCS New York City Marathon in aid of Action Cancer.

Prize Night


Lovely to see the smiling faces of the class of 2015 back in the Red High today - we are so proud of your fabulous achievements while with us in the Red High and from the sounds of things, this trend is continuing!
