Brian:
My name is Brian King and I am Head Boy for the coming year in St. Patrick’s Grammar School and I also attended St. Patrick’s Primary School, Burrenreagh. At the moment I am studying Chemistry, Biology, and Maths, and I hope to go on to study medicine at Queen’s University Belfast. I have a great passion for Gaelic Football, and this has grown throughout my time in St. Patrick’s as I have represented the school on many occasions. I also play for my local club Bryansford GAC.I have really enjoyed my last six years in the Red High, as I have made great friends and achieved highly in my studies. In my final year I hope I will continue to build on the relationships formed previously and forge new ones. I look forward to dealing with the challenges set before me, and working with, and for the student body.

Matthew:
My name is Matthew Flanagan and I am privileged to be selected as Deputy Head-Boy for 2007/8. Currently in Year 14, I am studying three A-levels which are, Music, French and Spanish, with the intention of pursuing a career in Law, as I hope to study Law with French at Queen’s University next year.I enjoy taking part in several extra-curricular activities, both within and outside of school which include music and sport related activities. Music is one of my great passions, as this year I am acting as Co-Leader of the SEELB Senior Youth Orchestra, as well as studying for two grade 8 music exams. For several years now I have also been a member of Lecale Swimming Club, and these different fields have enabled me to represent the school in numerous events. So far, I have enjoyed the tasks we have taken part in so far. Being awarded the position of Deputy Head-Boy has given me a sense of social and moral responsibility within the school community and I look forward to meeting the new challenges in this forthcoming year.
